There's something about a name painted by hand. It's small, it sits quietly on the cat's left haunch, and it changes the whole object. Suddenly it's not just a blue cat any more, it's Léa's cat, or the cat from your wedding.
You can add up to 15 characters, spaces included: a first name, a date or a short sweet word. Next to it you can add up to three little symbols, choosing from a heart, a star, a paw, a crown, a flower, a lightning bolt and a smiley. It costs CHF 40, and the cat still ships in 4 to 6 weeks, free, wherever it's going.
Which cats can take a name
The eight plain-colour finishes: the four Classic ones (Chalk White, Ink Black, Signal Red, Blush Pink) and the four Colors (Klein Blue, Mint, Tangerine, Lilac). They're all together in personalisable cats. The patterned finishes and the limited edition already have plenty going on, so they come as they are. And Your Cat is a portrait, which is personal enough on its own.
A few ideas that fit in 15 characters
For a partner, just their first name with a heart, or the date you met, like “14.02.2027”. For a wedding, “A & M 2027” with two hearts. For a new flat, “Home sweet home” fits exactly, down to the last letter. For a cat mom, “Best cat mom” and a paw. For a child's room, a first name with a star and a crown. For a colleague who's moving on, “Thank you!” and a flower.
Counting characters in your head is surprisingly hard, by the way. The product page counts for you and shows a preview.
The one thing to check
We paint exactly what you type, capital letters and all. So read it twice, maybe ask someone else to read it too. Because a personalised cat is made for one person, it can't be returned, though you can cancel for free within 24 hours of ordering if you spot a typo.
You might be wondering
Can I write a longer message?
On the cat itself, 15 characters keeps the lettering elegant. For anything longer, a handwritten card next to the cat does the job beautifully.
How long does a personalised cat take?
The same as any other: 4 to 6 weeks, since every cat is painted to order. If your date comes sooner, an e-gift card arrives by email and they can personalise their own cat.
